Art Deco Double Inkwell Desk Set In Marble Effect Spongeware Pottery

This amazing Art Deco Double Inkwell Desk Set In Marble Effect Spongeware Pottery has a real wow factor! Just the thing for the vintage themed office.

It's incredibly heavy, (hence high postage cost), and comprises two detachable ceramic ink pots/wells with lids sat on a ceramic pen tray with four slightly raised feet. The sponge ware marble effect is a mix of brown/orange/grey/black/and white hues: it's incredibly striking!

Approximate Size:-

• Base:  26.4 x 17.5 x 4.5 cm
• Bell Shaped Ink pot: 
• Base diameter 8.2 
• Height: 6cm
• Lid diameter: 5.2cm 

The maker is unknown, as there are no distinguishing marks, but it dates to pre-1930s. This piece of Spongeware could also be late Victorian but I'm not absolutely sure...

In fair display condition it does have some issues which are only noticeable on closer inspection:-

• The lid of one ink well is broken and has been 'repaired'
• Other ink lid has a nibble around the rim 
• There are other manufacturing related defects including Air bubbles and scratches

The price has been adjusted to reflect the level of defects.
